Third Graders at Rowe Elementary Create Aquatic Food Webs

District Educator Chris Loew was back in the classrooms of Rowe Elementary this past week.

The third grade classes created food webs to show the flow of energy through an aquatic ecosystem!

The students worked together to show how the energy from the sun is captured by aquatic plants which is then used by Maine’s herbivores and carnivores.

The students are now ready for the salmon eggs that they will be raising in the classroom.
