Portland Kids Helping the Pollinators

At summer camps around Portland, kids were helping make their neighborhoods even greener. The afternoon started with a game to demonstrate how bees pollinate flowers. Then the kids built houses for solitary bees using upcycled materials and planting wildflower seeds to attract pollinators. Planting wildflowers helps prevent erosion and filter water while beautifying neighborhoods.
