Longfellow Elementary 5th graders installed a new rain garden in addition to testing their theories and lawncare equipment to determine which methods will lead to healthy yards while protecting the local streams and Casco Bay.

Talbot 5th graders identified ash trees located on the school grounds and calculated their annual environmental value. This helped the students understand the potential impacts of invasive emerald ash borer at their school.
